What's up? :) I am in receipt of the C-Mas cardnot that you sent me, which arrived on 12/27. I hope all went as well as could be expected for you, when you went back to Chicago for that week to be with family and friends. That is always good for one's soul. :) Unfortunately, none of my family reached out to me, although I did make it a point to send out nice C-Mas cards to them. At least they know that I card, which is what really matters in the end, right? :) "Fire and Rain," by James Taylor is on my walkman, and it is 4:17PM on a cloudy afternoon as I write this to you. The guards will soon begin to bring us to the showers, but since they are starting from the back of the tier, I'll be the next to last set to go. They began at the fron the last time they showered us, which was on Friday afternoon. "I Can't Help Falling in Love," by UB40 was the next song to come on. WEJZ Lite 96.1 is the soft rock station I'm on, which is out of Jax, FL. "Reba" is on the CW as I'm writing this to you. :) UPN merged with WB to make a new network in Sept. Mid 40's are the lows forecast for this area overnight. Last night it was milder. "I Could Not Ask for More," by Edwin McCain came on next. Sara Evans did a cover of the song too.

Yeah, it is kinda hard to believe that we began writing one another in 1997, huh? Yes, you did finally reveal your name once you left the college. Elias Rothstein was your alias. I haven't heard from anyone else from your old college, so maybe that program was done away with, right? "Every Breath You Take," by The Police was the next song to come on.

They just got started on the showers, and it is 4:32pm. "Hero," by Mariah Carey came on next.

Yes, my daughter, Jamie-Lynne, is doing quite well for herself, and should be in her first year of community college by now. When she sent me the graduation commencement announcement with her photo in May, I sent her a nice cardnote in return, but haven't heard back. So, I believe my ex has been meddling with my mail, and she intercepts it before Jamie gets it... "Tonight's the Night," by Rod Stewart is on now. No, there's no need for you to reach out to my daughter, alright? Others have offered to do it for me as well, but I declined their offers. I appreciate the gesture. :) "Bad Day," by Daniel Powter came on next.

Last night was Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year special, but I only caught some of it. "Pink Houses," by John Mellencamp came on next. :)

Can't believe we are already in 2007! This will begin my 15th year on death row, but that's a good thing expecially at the rate they were executing guys recently. They carried out 4 executions between 9/20 and 12/13, but hit a "glitch" when they executed Angel Diaz on 12/13. They somehow pushed the IV needles through his veins, and into the soft-tissue of his arms... So, they eneded up having to give him 2 doses of the lethal injection, and it took them twice as long to pronounce him dead! Jeb Bush put a halt to all further death sentences until a panel thoroughly investigates what went wrong.

The panel will be scrutinizing the protocol that is used, and will be giving its findings by as early as March 1st, but it could be longer. "If You're Gone," by Matchbox 20 came on next, followed by "Maneater," by Hall & Oates. Nelly Furtado has a CD titled "Loose," and one of the singles on it is also called "Maneater," so I believe she had to get their permission to use it, even though it is an entirely different song... They've been playing "Say It Right" on the radio lately, which is another single off of the CD "Loose." "Right Here, Waiting for You," by Richard Marx came on next, and it is 5pm. Tyra is on the CW now. She has Ryan Seacrest on as her guest. "Bette Davis Eyes," by Kim Carnes was the next song to come on.

I'm sure that you heard all about the hanging executiong of Saddam? I was watching the ABC World News last night, and someone at the execution caught the video feed on a cell phone, so they actually showed him getting the noose put around his neck, while his executioners stood by in black hoods! Saddam didn't have any hood over his head! The executioners were taunting him, and were saying things to him, which he raised his voice in response to. "Soak Up the Sun," by Sheryl Crow came on next, and then it was "I Can't Tell You Why," by the Eagles. Mellow guitar iffs. Very soothing to listen to over my headphones. :)

Have you ever been to the John G. Shedd Aquarium in Chicago? I was watching PBS last week and they featured a piece on that aquarium. :) The structure was very detailed back when it had been built, and there were all sorts of neat things throughout it. Even down to the clock, which had a variety of sea life on it's face. Cool. I'm quite sure that you've been there since you are from Chicago, right? "She's Got a Way," by Billy Joel is on now. They stopped showering us so that they'll be able to feed us supper, so let me pause here, alright? They'll pick up where they left off on the showes once they collect all of the trays. So, it will be after six o'clock by the time I get to go. "Smooth," by Santana w/ Rob Thomas came on next. It is 6:06pm and they have started back where they left off before they stopped showering us, so I'll go after they run 2 more cells ahead of me. Supper was chicken w/rice.

That was cool, how you'd spent New Year's in Tokyo to be with your girlfriend and others. :) I remembered that extended family you lived with over there, and the bond that you developed over time. :) I saw an episode of Without a Trace, and agent Malone ended up having to go to Tokyo to track a suspect. :) The case involved a Marine who was stationed on Okinawa, so that brought back some memories from when I was there in 1977. :)

Well, that's all for now, so let me bring this to an end. Good luck on your studies when you resume on Jan. 3rd. Be well, and write soon
