It is going to be interesting having these long weekends. I am not scheduled to have any classes or work fri, sat, sun or mon morning. That should mean lots of study time and leisure time. It sounds really great. Surely I could accomplish something with all that time in one big chunk. Well, this is my first weekend of the new semester, and I have not been very motivated. I didn't even post a journal entry yesterday.
I filled in for a couple people at work and then spent the afternoon lounging around. We got our phone hooked up, so I called the parents and asked for money. Then I called Liza. We set up a date for today to look at pictures from the wedding and talk about her and Seth's honeymoon, etc. Then I took a nap.
Gene and I did go out rollerblading in the evening. My new blades work all right considering how cheap they were. I had to leave the old SwitchIt (the wheels can be exchange for a ice hockey blade) skates in Japan when they didn't fit in my bag. Anyway, it turns out that that was a good bonding activity for Gene and I. Things have been a little awkward at the beginning. I realized that although I have known Gene for a long time, I have never really spent a lot of time with him. We don't share all the same interests.

I didn't know much of the music, but there were some people I recognized. I spent the night looking at the Asian women and generally dancing my little heart out.
Gene went to the volleyball game today. He is going to the football game tonight. I don't mind watching some alternative sports now and then, but I would rather play the sports. Gene does bike and hike and rollerblade, though. I think the roommate thing should work out.
I suddenly realized today how much stuff I have to do. I went to the lab to start working on my data sheet for job interviews. I have a bunch of homework to do. Letters to write to friends. Grocery shopping. Journals to write...
